Counselling

The KVR Elementary  Counselling Program is available to all students in our school community. Our school counsellor provides short‑term support and guidance to help students with feelings, friendships, mental health concerns, and school‑related concerns. While we do not provide ongoing therapy, we can help students and families understand concerns and support them in finding appropriate help in the community when needed.

Parents and caregivers may arrange an appointment by emailing or calling our school counsellor, or by speaking with their child’s classroom teacher. Students can ask to see the counsellor by talking to any trusted adult in the school, visiting the counselling office, or filling out an appointment request form in the counselling room. 

We want students and families to know that meeting with a counsellor is private. Information shared with the school counsellor is treated with care and kept confidential, in accordance with school district and counselling guidelines.
